A well-established construction company is currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with expertise in the construction industry (ideally) to join a dynamic accounting team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of large-scale financial operations, with specific experience in companies exceeding $100M in revenue.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll entries.
- Manage monthly closing procedures and keep track of fixed assets.
- Ensure accurate, on-time recording of financial transactions and maintain organized financial records.
- Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, credit cards, and bank statements for any discrepancies.
- Assist in preparing financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and equity roll forward schedules.
- Act as a liaison with external auditors during audits.
- Support the implementation and management of large ERP systems.
- Demonstrate advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and forecasting.
- Guide and mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate with finance, operations, and management teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the construction industry.
- Familiarity with GAAP, accounting regulations and company policies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- ERP experience, advance Excel.
- Proven experience in companies with over $100M in revenue.
