The Fire Suppression System Manager will support the Fire Alarm Detection Maintenance Program for Ali Al Salem Airbase, US Air Force facilities situated outside Kuwait City, Kuwait. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing maintenance, testing, and inspection programs to meet National Fire Protection Association standards.
The Manager will keep Air Force Squadron regulations at the forefront. Ali Al Salem Airbase is a remote and harsh condition location. Expect a 60-hour work week, exposure to extreme weather, and hazardous worksite conditions. Ali Al Salem Airbase Contractors may be required to move on short notice under adverse conditions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manages the fire alarm detection maintenance program for Ali Al Salem Airbase facilities.
- Has the overall responsibility for the maintenance and management of fire alarm systems.
- Responsible for development of a maintenance, test, and inspection program, compliant with DOD and NFPA regulations.
- Develop a scope of work required for system repair, maintenance, or expansion of alarm systems.
- Oversee work for system repair, maintenance, or expansion, ensuring equipment provided and installed complies with the current NFPA standards and the National Electrical Code.
- Plans and directs lead alarm technician’s workload, performs quality assurance checks providing written reports to fire management.
- Supervises and documents acceptance testing of fire alarm systems.
- Coordinates work schedule and requirements with supervisors, schedules appointments for testing repair and maintenance of fire alarm systems with facility custodians.
- May require formal training on relevant Automated Information Systems (AIS).
Experience & Qualifications
- NICET Level II certification is required
- Minimum 10 years' Fire Suppression System experience
- High school diploma, GED equivalent formal general education, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- US DoD Secret Clearance, US Citizenship required
- Valid active US Passport
