Essential Job Duties
- Participate in the development and implementation of business strategies for the kitchen that are aligned with the company's overall mission, vision, values, and strategies.
- Work closely with the Executive Chef as it relates to ordering and inventory management associated with the restaurants, Southcable Cafe, Alpine Lounge, Room Service, In-Suite Catering & Events.
- Implement strategies for the kitchen that support achievement of the hotel's goals.
- Monitor industry trends and collaborate with internal and external partners in culinary research and development efforts.
- Work with the Executive Chef developing standards and processes to assist in delivering consistent culinary products.
- Keep current on pulse of the guests, constantly seeking opportunities to follow up on their experience.
- Assist in efforts in recruiting, hiring, training, and supporting all BOH and culinary staff required for the operation.
- Uphold company guidelines and policies as it relates to performance management, onboarding, termination, and seasonal closures - ensure compliance.
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing the culinary team's schedules, timeclock and tips, and ensure tight labor cost management.
- Act as a strong and positive leader, be proactive with retention strategies.
- Service standards should strike a balance between the unique culture of Jackson Hole and luxury hospitality
- Attend weekly Food and Beverage meetings and monthly manager meetings, relaying relevant information to Caldera House team members.
- Maintain good relationships with vendors, community groups and industry associates.
- Ensure adherence to safety and health regulations. Follow protocol for reporting workplace injuries, fill out appropriate indcident reports and alcohol log. Provide a safe environment for guests and employees, and ensure compliance with County health department regulations.
- Play an active role in identifying challenges facing the organization and present constructive solutions to help lead the organization forward

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Culinary Arts and/other Hospitality management degree preferred
- Five years of food production and management experience preferred
