MetroStudio is seeking an experienced architect for project leadership position dealing primarily with adaptive reuse and multi-family projects in historic urban markets. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams comprised of architects, engineers, restoration specialists as well as allied design disciplines.
Qualifications:
- Accredited professional degree in Architecture
- At least 5 years of design experience in the architectural profession
- Architectural Licensure is a plus
- The ability to effectively communicate with design teams, contractors, and clients
- Drive and ability to develop new business opportunities across the United States
Responsibilities:
· Lead project development and project teams from inception to completion
- Lead and manage project delivery from concept thru construction
- Develop relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers on a number of projects
- Be reliable and adaptable in a flexible environment
- Communicate ideas
- Have experience with BIM software, ArchiCAD a plus
- Be motivated, self-reliant, and possess the ability to work independently with guidance
- Ability to work in the office on a daily basis
- Possess working knowledge of codes, zoning entitlements and standards applicable to the design of firm projects
- Have strong design skills and technical proficiency using various design programs including Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD
- On occasion individuals will be required to visit a client site to perform site verifications and field assessments
