To provide therapeutic individual and group activities to the patients of Mental Health Services. To develop and implement appropriate leisure and social activities for patients having psychosocial dysfunction. The position will function as a member of the treatment team and interact with patients in activities designed to fulfil individualized treatment goals within a psychosocial rehabilitation program and therapeutic milieu.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in development of treatment plan.
- Develops an individualized therapeutic activity schedule with input from the treatment team and patient, which reflects the patient's needs and functional level.
- Provides individual and group activities to patients while maintaining a safe environment and in accordance with a program schedule.
- Completes assessment and treatment plans in compliance with regulations and established time frames.
- Completes documentation after each group to reflect services provided as patient's progress towards meeting treatment plan goals
- Participates in departmental divisional QA&I activities and planning.
- Complies with all AT, MHS, and HealthAlliance policies and procedures.
- Participates in staff and team meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
EXPERIENCE
- One year's experience working in mental health or human services field, required.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in human services, Recreation, Art, or Music, required
- Masters preferred

- Ability to plan and perform therapeutic activities utilizing a variety of media.
