Position Overview:
The Portfolio Management Analyst will play a critical role within the Capital Markets Team at Velocity. This full-time, office-based role focuses on supporting the firm’s debt and equity processes for refinancing, dispositions, and overall portfolio financial management. The role involves detailed financial analysis, investor relations, underwriting, presentation development, due diligence support, transaction management, and asset management reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed cash flow analyses of portfolio assets using Excel and Argus.
- Analyze and monitor loan covenants and compliance metrics, including Debt Service Coverage Ratios and Debt Yields, based on loan document guidelines.
- Review property-level financial statements to identify variances, trends, and key performance indicators, and report findings to management.
- Provide data-driven recommendations for refinance or disposition opportunities.
- Prepare lender investment memorandums and regular investor updates.
- Manage and organize data rooms for investors, lenders, and third-party transaction partners.
- Assist with property-level due diligence and closing processes for refinancing and sales transactions.
- Prepare debt and equity reports, along with quarterly investor communications.
- Support other related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Experience in commercial real estate or private equity investment roles.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and Excel.
- Familiarity with loan structures, equity arrangements, and real estate terminology.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a high level of enthusiasm and initiative.
