CFO for CIG Companies
Carey International Group (CIG) is a diversified holding company based in Orlando, FL, focused on growing assets in the energy/renewables, commercial real estate, and financial services sectors. Our portfolio of companies include, CIG Asset Management, Magnifica, CIG Renewables, and CIG Capital. CIG's projects range from Renewable energy, utility-scale solar to hospitality and residential developments.
Role Description
CIG is currently seeking candidates for the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) role. The CFO will oversee and have responsibility for all company financial activity, including but not limited to: treasury, tax, accounting, and business intelligence functions.
This position requires strong creative problem-solving skills and strong cognitive and analytical capabilities.
The ideal candidate should understand and be capable of providing strategic tax solutions domestically and internationally. The CFO will always provide transparency into business economics and long-term performance trends and effectively communicate to all senior management and the Board of Directors on its financial performance.
The CFO should learn and understand the business intimately, understand the operations, and identify growth opportunities. The CFO will report to the CEO, become a partner and trusted advisor to the CEO, and serve as a key senior management decision-maker. The CFO will have other lead Controllers and Directors that they will oversee. This position will allow for profit share opportunities.

The desired candidate would have:
- Master's Degree in Accounting or Finance. CPA/MBA or other advanced business or accounting degree highly desired. Prior experience in public accounting also desirable.
- Prior experience in the CFO position
- 10+ years or more of accounting experience, preferably with financial businesses
- 10+ years of experience managing entire accounting function, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, and organization-wide financial reporting.
- Prior experience in structuring and negotiating acquisitions and contracts.
- Post-acquisition integration experience is also highly desired.
- Prior experience with PE investors and the PE due diligence process.
- Experience with international trade and financial requirements.
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP

- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Mac iOS operating systems
- The candidate will be required to live within a 40-mile commuting distance of Orlando, FL.
- Travel, including international travel, is a requirement of the job, dictated by the business's needs.

Base Pay: $310,000.00 per year
