Nova Fencing and Archery Club
Welcome to Nova Fencing and Archery Club! We are one of the largest fencing clubs in the United States, with our growth fueled by our focus on community, sportsmanship, and excellence. Nova Fencing Club provides a place where our coaches can continue to grow under the direction of our fencing maestros and Coach Greg Kaidanov. Over the past few years our assistant coaches in both our evening and summer camp programs have moved through the coaching ranks from Monitor to Prevot. Our focus on excellence and development includes not just our fencers, but our coaches as well.
Every coach, every staff member, at every level, impacts and shapes our members. We are seeking team players who can execute coaching directions, motivate students and build community.
Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role as an Assistant Fencing Coach at Nova Fencing and Archery Club in Fairfax, VA. The role involves assisting head coaches, conducting training sessions and providing feedback to athletes under the supervision of our maestros.
Qualifications
- Experience in fencing with a strong understanding of fencing techniques and rules
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to work with a diverse group of fencers
- Ability to provide constructive feedback and support to fencers of all skill levels
- Certifications in coaching and CPR/First Aid are preferred but not required. We will provide opportunities for certifications.
