Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee clinical research activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards.
- Ensuring the well-being and safety of participants by safely performing and executing the studies.
- Interpreting protocols and Investigator Brochures (IB), and participating in initiatives to strategize for patient recruitment.
- Conducting clinical evaluations and assessments of participants to ensure eligible individuals are enrolled in studies.
- Ensuring and protecting the welfare and safety of participants through ethical conduct.
- Fulfilling and complying with all medical duties as per protocol, SOP/COP, ICH GCP, and local regulations.
- Exercising meticulous attention to detail in documentation and patient care.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory authorities and sponsors.
- Actively participate in protocol development, investigator meetings, and other research-related activities.
Qualifications
- A valid medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent).
- An active medical license in the state of Maryland in good standing, with unrestricted ability to practice in the place of work, where applicable.
- Must possess proficiency in general medical practitioner diagnosis and treatment.
- Reliable commute or planning to relocate before starting work.
- Prior experience as a clinical research investigator (principal investigator or sub-investigator) is preferred
- Board certified or board eligible for certification in Genetics, Biochemical Genetics, Acute Care, Intensive Care, or Neurology is preferred.
