Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist (day shift) Overview
- The Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound imaging studies as directed by a physician s order. The technologist must be capable of performing patient care for age groups 0 to 105 years old.
- The Ultrasound Technologist reports directly to Ultrasound Chief Technologist
- Only 1 hour and 20 minutes from Kansas City, Missouri
- Only 1 hour from Columbia, Missouri
Responsibilities
- Responsible for applying proper techniques and patient positioning to produce high-quality ultrasound images.
- Responsible for on-call procedures.
- Responsible for assisting physicians with procedures.
- Ensures operation of ultrasound equipment by following manufacturer s instructions and calling for repairs when needed.
- Assists with maintaining necessary supplies in the department.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with all policies, rules, and regulations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound program.
- Must be registered in Diagnostic Ultrasound by either ARDMS or ARRT.

Licensure/Certification:
- Certification in Ultrasound Technology by the ARDMS or ARRT is required.

Work Experience:
- Prefer a minimum of 2 years of experience as a staff technologist and possesses capabilities as determined to be adequate by the department head.
