- Provide comprehensive surgical care to inpatients and emergency department patients, including consults, transfers, and referrals from critical access hospitals.
- Perform a broad range of routine general surgery procedures and acute care surgeries, utilizing your expertise to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate effectively with a team of experienced general surgeons, advanced practice providers (APPs), and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Contribute to the overall success of the Surgical Group by upholding high standards of quality and patient satisfaction.
Predictable Schedule & Supportive Environment:
- Maintain a predictable Monday-Friday schedule with regular business hours (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM), allowing for a healthy work-life balance.
- Enjoy minimal call coverage requirements, with weekend call responsibilities split evenly among general surgeons in the group.
- Integrate into a supportive and collaborative environment that values teamwork and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Degree: A Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) from an accredited medical or osteopathic school is mandatory.
- Licensure: An unrestricted Georgia medical license, or the ability to obtain one, is required.
- Training: Residency training in General Surgery is essential. Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery is a must.
- Experience: A proven track record of performing a wide range of general surgery procedures and acute care surgeries is necessary.
