THE OPPORTUNITY:
Knight Law Group, LLP is in search of an attorney with a minimum of three years of litigation experience. A successful candidate will demonstrate a desire to serve the public interest by advocating on behalf of California consumers pursuing claims against car manufacturers and car dealers. The position calls for a hardworking and dedicated attorney that is interested in aggressive discovery-driven litigation tactics. Knight Law Group offers a unique opportunity for a young attorney to get immediate experience in many phases of litigation, including: written discovery, law & motion, oral argument, depositions, and trial preparation.Further, it offers opportunities for the candidate who is interested in dedicating themselves to growing into an aggressive litigator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct interaction and training from Partners and Senior Attorneys
- Work on a team of experienced lawyers.
- Draft written discovery, review responses and document productions, participating in e-discovery review of documents
- Draft motions related to written discovery disputes, responses to pleading challenges, oppositions to Motions for Summary Adjudication, and other motions in furtherance of our client’s claims against car manufacturers and dealers
- Preparing for and participating in oral arguments in various courtrooms relating to discovery disputes, pleading challenges, case management conferences, summary judgment motions, and ex parte requests
- Preparing clients and defending consumer client depositions
- Deposing percipient witnesses
- Deposing corporate representative - defense witnesses
- Preparing expert witnesses and attending expert depositions
- Attend vehicle inspections with expert witnesses
Ideal Skills and Experience
• Minimum J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
• California Bar license in good standing
• Minimum of 3 years of litigation experience as a California licensed attorney
• Willingness to learn and apply technology solutions and work in a paperless environment
• Bilingual Spanish is preferred, but not required
• Proficient in MS Office, Westlaw, and Outlook
• Ability in decision-making and problem-solving
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to track and comply with deadlines
• Willingness to function in a team environment
• Willingness to travel within California for court appearances, vehicle inspections, and depositions
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 20 pounds

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to general office conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet. This is a hybrid role where you will work in our beautiful Century City offices 3 days per week.
