Monitoring Team Lead - USA (Remote)

Key Responsibilities:
Define Monitoring Roles:
- Collaborate with technical teams to define monitoring requirements for new applications, infrastructure, and solutions.
- Design, implement, and standardize monitoring strategies.
- Ensure seamless integration of monitoring tasks with incident and change management processes.
Configure Monitors & Metrics:
- Install, configure, and maintain monitoring tools following corporate standards.
- Automate and industrialize the installation of expert monitors.
- Ensure performance metrics are applied effectively and integrated into the Configuration Management Database (CMDB).
Monitoring Agents & Deactivation:
- Automate agent installations on new servers and ensure versions are updated regularly.
- Manage the deactivation process for monitors, ensuring systems are kept up to date.
Synthetic Web Transactions:
- Manage synthetic web transactions for corporate applications, analyzing performance and documenting processes.
Network Monitoring:
- Oversee the addition, deletion, and configuration of network devices within the monitoring solutions.
- Configure monitoring based on TRAPs, SNMP credentials, and alerting integration with BMC TrueSight.
Security Patching & Infrastructure Upgrades:
- Perform proactive security analysis and apply critical updates for infrastructure.
- Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, ensuring that product versions are up to date before the end of support.
Project & Third-Party Assistance:
- Assist in resolving queries, managing user requests, and proactively supporting third-party teams.
- Lead monitoring tasks for infrastructure and application evolution projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of experience in team leadership, project management, and decision-making roles within a technical environment.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in monitoring technologies, tools, and platforms.
- BMC Tools: TrueSight Synthetic Monitoring, Entuity, ProactiveNet, Patrol Configuration, Patrol Central, RTServers
- Elastic Tools: Elastic Synthetic Monitoring
- Other Tools: OpsGenie, CA Spectrum
- Service Hours: Must cover shifts between 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM ET. The role may require occasional on-call duties.
