General Manager
We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead all aspects of Contractor XYZ’s business operations. This General Manager position is for a branch of a rapidly growing PE-owned contractor. In this role, you will be responsible for driving growth, profitability, and operational excellence, while maintaining a sharp focus on strategic leadership and team development. The General Manager will work closely with the CEO and senior management to ensure alignment with overall business goals.
Qualifications:
· 10+ years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
· Proven success managing a standalone branch, subsidiary, or business unit.
· Strong operational background with a process-driven and data-oriented mindset.
· Demonstrated ability to lead teams and drive performance in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
· Experience with private equity-backed companies is strongly preferred.
· Knowledge of home services industries (roofing experience is a plus).
· Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and strategic planning skills.
· Advanced financial acumen and analytical capabilities.
· Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and lead teams.
· Proven ability to recruit, train, and develop high-performing employees.

Key Responsibilities:
· Full P&L Responsibility: Lead and manage the overall P&L of Contractor XYZ, including the annual budget, resource allocation, and capital management. Ensure financial targets are met or exceeded with accurate forecasting and transparent reporting to the Contractor XYZ’s executive team.
· Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy that aligns with the Contractor XYZ’s short- and long-term business objectives. Provide leadership and mentorship to managers and staff, promoting a collaborative and results-driven culture.
· Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations to ensure top-tier service delivery and production. Lead initiatives to improve efficiency, implement safety standards, and ensure operational processes align with the Contractor XYZ’s goals.
· Sales Leadership: Drive high performance within the sales organization through engagement, training, and retention strategies. Ensure the sales team meets aggressive growth targets while maintaining scalable models for continued success.
· Employee Development: Cultivate a high-performing team by recruiting top talent, providing ongoing training, and offering professional development opportunities. Focus on employee engagement to reduce turnover and foster a motivated workforce.
· Cultural Stewardship: Promote a positive, high-energy workplace culture through coaching, recognition, and team-building initiatives.
· KPI Reporting: Regularly develop and present key performance indicators (KPIs) and real-time metrics to senior leadership. Utilize data to guide decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
· Growth & Expansion: Identify growth opportunities through lead generation initiatives, pricing strategies, and operational efficiencies. With support from senior management, assist in evaluating new viable markets for expansion, and develop entry strategies.
· Industry Relations: Represent the Contractor XYZ in the industry, cultivating relationships with suppliers, distributors, and key stakeholders within the roofing sector.
