Overview
Black Buffalo 3D (BB3D) is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Printer Technician to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for assisting with the operations of our innovative 3D construction printers, including batching, mixing, printing, and quality control. The candidate will also support research and development initiatives and assist with training. This position will involve some travel and collaboration with different teams and clients.
Responsibilities
· Uphold rigorous safety stands working in a construction environment
· Assist in daily operations of 3D construction printer systems.
· Oversee and participate in the mixing and batching of materials for print projects.
· Ensure quality control measures are met throughout print execution, including lab testing.
· Collaborate with the R&D team on new initiatives and technological advancements.
· Provide technical training to internal staff and external clients or partners.
· Participate in the execution of various print projects on-site and in the field.
· Work with various teams on maintenance, and optimization of printing equipment.
· Travel (up to 40%) to client sites or project locations to assist with on-site projects as required.
Qualifications
· Relevant experience in concrete, construction, or operating construction equipment and forklifts.
· Prior experience concrete or construction materials preferred, ACI certification a plus
· Strong collaborative and team-oriented mindset, with excellent communication skills.
· Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly as part of equipment handling and material mixing.
· Familiarity with 3D printing technology or concrete printing systems is a strong advantage.
· Willingness to travel domestically and globally for project execution and client interaction.
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field is a preferred
· Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under minimal supervision.

· Mechanical aptitude, proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical and electrical parts of 3D printers.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment and manage multiple priorities.
· A positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and learning new technologies.
· Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain high standards of work quality under pressure.
