OMLO is seeking a municipal law attorney with 3-7 years’ experience representing public entities. Qualified candidates will demonstrate the ability to take on complex legal matters and work in a high-paced environment, good writing skills, and the ability to work take initiative as well as the ability to work collaboratively with agency staff and elected officials. Applicants must demonstrate a proficiency in public bidding and contracting, procurement, prevailing wage, franchise agreements and Prop. 218. Working knowledge of the Brown Act, the Public Records Act, Conflict of Interest law, and election laws is a plus. Ideal candidates will have experience working with public bodies and demonstrate effective communication and communication skills.
The salary range for a 3+ year attorney meeting these qualifications is $135,00-$185,000. The actual salary will be commensurate with the number of years of practice, relevant experience, and demonstrated accomplishments on the skillset sought. The firm also offers a year-end hours bonus and discretionary bonus for attorneys that make their hours and demonstrate exceptional performance throughout the year.
