This role is nearly fully remote but will require 1 day a month in the office in Scottsdale AZ but often times it's less. must reside in the Great Phoenix Metro.
Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner with a proven background in managing and evolving consumer-facing mobile applications, specifically in Android and iOS environments. This role will oversee two primary products: the mobile apps (React Native, cross-platform) and the customer web portal, a platform enabling self-service functionality for customers to manage payments, plans, etc of their account.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy and Roadmap
- Define and own the product vision and roadmap for mobile applications and the customer web portal, aligning with company goals and market trends.
- Drive the overhaul of our existing mobile apps, planning and launching new features that enhance user experience and functionality on iOS and Android platforms.
- Establish priorities, timelines, and versioning support to ensure seamless updates and continuous improvement in app store performance.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, UI/UX design, marketing, and business teams to deliver an integrated user experience and smooth functionality across mobile and web products.
- Facilitate clear communication among teams, ensuring project milestones and expectations are transparent and achievable.
- Feature Development and Launch Management
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of product features from ideation to execution, focusing on consumer needs and market demands.
- Plan and execute feature rollouts and updates, managing app store presence and ensuring alignment with technical standards and compliance.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Analyze user behavior, feedback, and other performance data to identify areas for improvement, ensuring data-backed decisions guide feature prioritization.
- Use problem-solving skills to independently gather necessary data, proactively addressing product challenges without additional guidance.
- Customer-Centric Approach
- Ensure both the mobile apps and web portal deliver exceptional self-service experiences that empower users and meet business goals.
- Drive customer satisfaction by enabling a smooth, intuitive experience with efficient self-serve features, addressing pain points and feedback iteratively.
- Required Skills and Experience:Ideally 8+ years experience as a Product Manager or Product Owner
- Technical Expertise in Mobile and Web Platforms: Strong experience with consumer-facing mobile apps (iOS and Android), familiarity with app store protocols, versioning, and feature management.
- Agile Product Management: Proven ability to define and drive Agile-based product roadmaps, handle multiple sprints and releases effectively, and adjust priorities dynamically.
- Problem-Solving and Initiative: Self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring tasks are managed and issues are resolved without repeated follow-ups.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work seamlessly with engineering, design, marketing, and business stakeholders.
- Soft Skills: Energetic and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and ensure timely execution of strategic product initiatives.
- Preferred Qualifications:Experience managing self-service portals or digital platforms in industries with recurring billing (e.g., telecom, utilities).
- React Native Knowledge: Familiarity with React Native cross-platform app development, allowing seamless collaboration with engineering on both iOS and Android projects.
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of using data to drive product decisions.
- Background in digital customer experience or customer service products is a plus.
