Description:
- Early-stage analysis and evaluations of functional safety architectures used in both, conventional emergency shutdown systems and highly available systems.
- Derive functional and technical safety concepts from functional safety requirements.
- Develop architectural designs at the whole scope of the application, including vehicle level features, and vehicle architectures down to IPs micro architectures.
- Elaborate, design, and imagine conventional and innovative functional safety concepts for future-generation product capabilities.
- Develop and review the safety IP design.
- Communicate and coordinate safety designs with IP teams.
- Demonstrate an understanding of vehicle dynamics.
- Understand complex control system concepts and contribute to the development and implementation of the product strategic direction in functional safety/system safety.
- Perform system safety analysis (ex: FMEDA)
Requirement:
- Master’s Degree or PhD in electronic engineering or computer science and 6+ years of experience
- Be able to clearly explain the most popular safety mechanisms or diagnostics used in a computing unit their effectiveness and purpose.
- Good Machine Learning Fundamentals and in particular a clear understanding of its implications in functional safety.
- Use Case Exposure like Electric Vehicles, ADAS, Hybrid Vehicles, Autonomous Vehicles, Autonomous Mobile Robots (AMRs), Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), Highly Automated Vehicles, Grade of Automations GoA 3 or 4 Railway, Unmanned Vehicles Aerial, and Underwater Experience.
- Experience in IC design/architecture.
- Understanding of Vehicle Dynamics (VD) and ability to conceptualize the Vehicle-as-a-system.
- Able to collaboratively work with cross-organizations.
- Familiar with automotive functional safety (ISO-26262).
- Familiar with automotive system architectures (preferred).
