The Safety Manager will report to the Sr. Safety Manager, support the site team, and ensure Strata Clean Energy, LLC complies with all applicable Health and Safety regulations while enhancing a culture of Safety excellence.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop communication channels and teams to identify and discuss Safety-related issues.
- Ensure adherence to all client contractual obligations (Solar Safety Checklist).
- Display commitment to all the Safety Manager roles and responsibilities.
- Attend mandatory meetings (POD, client weekly/monthly, Contractor kick-off meetings, etc.)
- Work with the Training Manager on developing materials, presentations, and procedures to effectively communicate the Strata Safety Program.
- Assist with training, coaching, and mentoring when resolving at-risk behaviors or noncompliance situations.
- Safety Committee champion.
- Conduct routine Safety observations to identify error precursors and leading indicators.
- Document audit findings on EHS Insight and effectively convey information to site leadership.
- Report all work-related incidents, Near Misses, and Good Catches.
- Lead incident investigations for all work-related events and follow the event reporting process.
- Track project Safety Metrics, including the progress of lagging indicators, and effectively convey with project site leadership.
- Push for Health and Safety observations from all project team members to effectively implement a Safety incentive program.
- Respond to emergencies to resolve immediate Health, Safety, and security concerns.
- Provide guidance and ensure professional development for all assigned Safety Specialists
- Keep safety credentials current
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of five (5) years of Health and Safety Construction experience. Solar experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with local, state, and federal codes as they apply to all aspects of solar construction.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate Health and Safety-related risks.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team with attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Bachelor’s degree in safety or related technical field with a minimum of seven (7) years of project experience in a construction Safety role as a titled Safety professional. (required)
- A CHST designation with a minimum of five (5) years in a construction Safety role as a titled Safety professional.
- First Aid and CPR (required)
- Current OSHA 500 (a plus)
- NFPA 70E (a plus)
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy.
- Ability to maintain an established work schedule (including weekends).
- Ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to use standard office software programs, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and audiovisual presentations.
