Project Manager
Job Summary
We seek an experienced Project Manager to oversee large, complex IT projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, IT services delivery and leadership. This role requires excellent communication, strategic planning and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
- Manage large, complex task orders, ensuring timely delivery and meeting customer requirements.
- Collaborate with program managers, government officials and customer representatives.
- Implement best practices for software configuration, release management and secure coding.
Agile Project Planning
- Organize and facilitate agile technical design reviews, including mock-ups, prototypes and demonstrations.
- Prioritize sustainment and operations and maintenance requirements.
System Updates and Maintenance
- Direct system updates during off-peak hours.
- Identify, document and control updates to functional baselines and system requirements.
- Ensure business and functional requirements are translated into system specifications.
Quality Assurance and Testing
- Develop and manage Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and Test Management Plan (TMP).
- Oversee testing, reporting and delivery of test results.
Collaboration and Communication
- Participate in weekly system support calls, configuration control meetings and executive boards.
- Provide technical support, status updates and metrics reporting.
Security and Compliance
- Ensure IT solutions meet security and compliance standards.
- Manage issue tracking using ServiceNow and DACS.
Requirements
Certifications
- Project or Program Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent).
- IT-II security clearance or National Agency Check with Local Agency Check and Credit Check (NACLC).
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or 4 additional years of related experience).
Experience
- 5+ years of project management experience.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in IT and/or consulting.
- Experience with IT services delivery, software configuration and release management.
Skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Strategic planning, problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Proficient in Atlassian Confluence, Jira and ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of agile project management methodologies.
- Familiarity with IT security and compliance standards
