Business Development Manager (Opportunities across the US)
My client is actively recruiting for Business Development Manager positions within the US. They're a fast growing start-up who have a FDA cleared product used in Neurology.
They're ideally looking for this BDM to be based in the Mid-West. You will travel across these locations to meet prospect & existing customers for product demonstrations etc.
Required Experience:
• BA/BS preferred, or equivalent experience.
• Must be used to travel, with a willingness and desire to travel constantly (up to 60%).
• Documented success as a top-tier sales executive in previous sales positions.
• 5 years+ of sales experience in Radiology, focused on capital/software niche markets is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a proven history of ability to make independent decisions and lead negotiations.
• Previous experience communicating with Radiologists, Neurologists & Surgeons, along with knowledge of hospital hierarchy and sales cycles.
• Superior customer relations proficiency and experience working closely with senior leadership.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• High comfort level with software and technology, in general.
Responsibilities:
• Translate training and education into successful sales of all products within the portfolio.
• Generate and maintain a complete and consistent customer database for assigned zone.
• Establish and maintain relationships with all contacts at qualified accounts through customer visits, letters, phone calls, LinkedIn, attendance at symposiums/trade shows, etc.
• Manage the complete sales cycle (including presentation, evaluation, contract negotiation and close, delivery, installation, and after-sale support).
• Prepare necessary documents for requested proposals (including quotes, answering of technical questions with the help of the internal team, etc.).
• Develop regular pattern of contacting customers and stay knowledgeable regarding the status of each account and market.
• Leverage existing client relationships to effectively influence other accounts and promote upgrade/upsell business.
• Share account information with colleagues throughout the globe to stimulate team selling.
• Conduct accurate sales forecasts and provide data for annual budget planning.
• Develop a creative 12-month sales strategy in alignment with corporate strategy.
