Job Description
Position Summary: Performs all tasks, jobs, and duties assigned to you by the Refrigeration/HVAC manager. Participate in an On-Call rotation. Runs service calls on all Refrigeration/HVAC equipment with specific focus on resolving the root cause of an issue. Evaluate the age/condition of equipment and identify any equipment that is beyond reasonable repair. Help fellow technicians on multiple-man jobs as needed. Maintain all company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicles in good, proper operating condition.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform repairs, equipment replacements, upkeep and all associated tasks on all Refrigeration and HVAC equipment.
- Strong familiarity with CPC E2 EMS systems necessary
- Strong diligence with regards to the physical work as well as all paperwork related tasks.
- Must be able to work safely while working alone or in a group.
- Strong aptitude with regards to electrical troubleshooting necessary.
- Strong aptitude with regards to control circuit troubleshooting necessary.
- A thorough understanding of superheat / subcooling as it relates to racks, single systems, and self-contained cases necessary.
- Thorough understanding of floating suction / floating head necessary.
- A thorough understanding of rack oil systems is necessary.
- Experience in disassembling/inspecting/rebuilding/reassembling all common valves necessary.
- Welding capabilities sufficient to replace components with piping sizes up to 3-1/8.”

- Must be able to travel within all districts (California)
Required Education and Experience:
- 5 years of supermarket rack system experience necessary.
- Experience with C02 systems a major plus
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is an Exempt Level Corporate Position; Monday – Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
Physical Demands: Must be able to meet physical demands to perform all associated tasks and duties (lifting, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, etc.).
