This newly created FINANCE MANAGER role is PURE FINANCE: FP&A, consolidated reporting, creating Board decks, models, long range planning, and data analysis. The ideal Finance Manager has a mix of small & large company experience, solid with reporting tools and confident presentation. You will be mentored by the Finance Director and given challenging opportunities to implement processes and demonstrate a growth mindset.
In partnership with our client in the Conejo Valley area of Southern California, Addison Group Los Angeles seeks a Finance Manager. Our client will consider strong Senior Financial Analysts.
Job - The hired Finance Manager will support the Finance team. The successfully hired Finance Manager will be performing consolidated reporting, creating Board decks, models, long range planning, and data analysis
Job Site Status (Remote/Mixed/Onsite) – Our client has a hybrid onsite policy (1-2 days/week in the office).

Compensation/Benefits – Salary range is $110,000-$125,000/year. Our client supplements the base salary with a generous bonus and equity package. The usual benefits (medical, dental, vision insurance plans, matching 401(k)) is offered here.
DUTIES OF THE FINANCE MANAGER
Financial Planning and Analyst (FP&A)
- Construct financial models to analyze forecasted versus actual financial figures.
- Communicate variances to upper management.
- Consolidate and prepare management reporting packages of operational and financial results.
- Perform analysis on NPV, headcount, EPS, and rollups.
- Assist in crafting annual budgets on all matters.
- Generate financial reports on HFM, including all headcount, OPEX, and capital figures.
- Maintain all financial reporting files and templates.
Processes Improvements
- Work with the IT and Accounting Departments to Improve financial planning processes.
- Implement process improvement initiatives.
- Seek constant improvement and upgrades in all project capitalization tasks.
Miscellaneous
- Assist in all internal and external audits, including working in conjunction with external auditors, on all revenue reporting issues.
- Accept other ad hoc duties as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE FINANCE MANAGER
Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Accounting or Business Administration with an Accounting focus.
- At least three (3) years of experience in FP&A work.
- Budgeting/forecasting experience.
- Financial Deck Preparation.
Preferred
- MBA and/or CPA.
- Current or prior employment at a health care, pharmaceutical, or biotech company.
- Three-statement modeling experience.
SKILLS OF THE FINANCE MANAGER
Required
Technical
- Expert-Level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, IF Formulas, creating dynamic arrays).
- Expert-Level experience in an ERP program.
- Expert-Level proficiency in a financial reporting program such as Adaptive Insights, Oracle PBCS, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), TM1, Cognos, etc.
Interpersonal
- Strong analytical experience, especially with financial planning and forecasting duties.
- Detail oriented, with high level of ethics and integrity.
- Fast learner.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, especially in presentations to upper management.
Preferred
Technical
- Proficiency in a Business Intelligence (BI) programs such as Tableau.
