Role Overview:
As a Desktop Support Analyst, you’ll provide critical, hands-on support for a network of over 500 users, both onsite and remotely, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of an innovative platform used by leading financial institutions. Working in a high stakes trading environment, you’ll troubleshoot, resolve, and escalate technical issues while building strong relationships and communicating effectively with key stakeholders and development teams to enhance performance and user satisfaction.
This contract position supports a global user base and offers 24x5 availability, managing incident and request protocols in line with company standards to guarantee prompt resolutions. You’ll also collaborate closely with Level 2 & 3 teams and external vendors, leveraging proactive monitoring tools to prevent potential service disruptions.
Technical Environment:
- Microsoft Ecosystem: Windows 10, Windows Server, Office Suite, Outlook, Office 365, and Azure (OneDrive, DLP, SharePoint)
- Active Directory & Group Policy: Access control, policies, and remote access management
- **Desktop Hardware: Installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of critical desktop components
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Technical Mastery: Strong background in Microsoft technologies, including in-depth expertise with Windows, Office 365, and Azure.
- Active Directory Proficiency: Skilled in access control, Group Policy, and remote access management.
- Hardware Experience: Proven track record in managing desktop hardware in a high-paced environment.
- Exceptional Stakeholder Management: Adept at building rapport, communicating clearly, and collaborating effectively across teams.
- Service-Oriented: Relentless focus on providing outstanding support with a problem-solving mindset.
- Educational Background: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
Bonus Skills:
- Scripting Abilities: Powershell and Python knowledge for automation.
- Network & Linux Knowledge: Familiarity with networking and Linux environments is a plus.
