Barnes Aerospace, OEM Center of Excellence - Windsor has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Intern to play an integral role in our manufacturing operations transformation. The right candidate should be a self-driven and enthusiastic student with junior or senior level status. Core Responsibilities:
- Work directly with Continuous Improvement organizations on various assignments in partnership with other organizations
- Support the site physical transformation, focusing on flow, eliminating waste, & building process / support systems
- Collect, validate, and organize data, as well as develop plans for improvement
- Help identify deficiencies in day-to-day operations & develop recovery plans
- Perform all tasks in accordance with company HSE policies
- Complete internship projects and present findings to leadership
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to schedule and organize time and tasks effectively
- Ability to work in a challenging and schedule driven environment
- Previous experience working with power/hand tools and measurement devices a plus
- Experience with MS Office preferred
Education Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university as a rising junior or senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Preferably Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial focus) or Management/Business
