Summary:
The Sr. Financial Analyst must be adaptable to a dynamic environment, utilize critical thinking skills, assertive in identifying and resolving issues, and be a team player. The selected individual will need to have strong communication skills, the ability to work both independently and collaboratively withing a team-driven culture and have a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Work closely with CFO / Executive, VP, Finance, and private equity sponsor across finance, business development, and treasury responsibilities
- Build and maintain corporate financial models
- Work with Executive Team to develop budgets and financial forecasts
- Evaluate acquisition and/or divestiture opportunities
- Prepare presentation materials for Executive Team, Board and lender meetings
- Interact with private equity sponsors, accommodating data requests and other needs as required
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary technical and business development teams
- Maintain planning databases and ensures data quality
- Assist with work between finance & accounting to integrate actuals with short and long-term forecasting and supports yearly budgeting process
- Extract and effectively communicate key insights from complex analyses
- Support internal and external communications with a high level of integrity and precision
- Assist with derivative execution, settlement, and tracking of positions
- Support reporting procedures related to credit facility covenant compliance
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience (required):
- 5+ years of experience with an E&P company or energy branch of commercial / investment bank / private equity firm
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering
- Prior financial analysis and modeling experience
- Intellectually curious, self-starter and able to manage multiple projects at a time
- Previous experience working in a dynamic environment
Education and Experience (preferred):
- Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering
Other Requirements:
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background screening
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle report, and good driving habits
- Ability to legally work in the US without sponsorship
Compensation:
Our cash compensation amount for this role is targeted at $83,500 - $132,400 annually in this location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise and may vary from the amount listed above.

Location:
This position is located Denver, CO. Candidates currently residing in locations outside of daily commuting distance will be considered, however, it is the expectation that the selected individual will be available at the work location. No relocation or travel assistance will be provided by the Company for this position.
Work Environment:
This position operates in an office and field environment. This entails working inside in an office space wherein employee may be provided a public work station (cubicle) or private office. From time to time, the role will require field visits where exposure to extreme weather conditions, fumes, airborne particles, vibrations, dust, electrical charges and other unforeseen exposures may be encountered.
Physical Demands:
In the performance of the duties and responsibilities of this job, the employee is required to have visual acuity to operate a motor vehicle and view a computer terminal for prolonged periods of time. While at work sites, the employee will be expected to walk and stand. Individuals might be asked to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and/or crawl. Individuals might be required to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 lbs. in the performance of this position.
Position Type and Working Hours:
This is a full-time position. Typical work hours are from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday – Thursday and 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. every other Friday. Employee must be capable and willing to work overtime as required and to participate in occasional meetings, events, seminars, conferences, or other activities outside of typical work hours. Employees responsible for project operations are expected to monitor and, in some cases, respond to emails, calls, or texts outside of business hours.
Travel:
Occasional travel to work site locations may be expected. Overnight stays may be required from time to time for training, seminars, field visits, or visits to onsite locations.
