Job Summary:
The Salesforce Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized Salesforce solutions to meet CRM needs. The role involves gathering technical requirements, delivering solutions aligned with business goals, managing release cycles, and overseeing technical aspects of projects. The Salesforce Developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams for integration, ensuring compliance with security guidelines and driving development best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather and define technical requirements for new projects and enhancements.
- Ensure technical solutions align with business goals and long-term strategy.
- Own release cycles for new applications and updates.
- Oversee technical aspects of project environments, ensuring adherence to standards.
- Compile and enforce internal development guidelines for the team.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Salesforce across the business.
- Ensure solutions comply with security standards throughout the application lifecycle.
- Communicate strategic technical concepts at an executive level and assist in decision-making.
- Develop CRM workflows and custom business solutions.
- Design and document technical architecture solutions across multiple platforms.
- Lead Salesforce integration with cloud-based and on-premises applications via REST APIs.
- Manage technical change management processes for Salesforce technology.
- Provide technical assessments and architecture recommendations for Salesforce implementations.
- Perform branch management, merging, and code deployment using Azure DevOps CI/CD.
Technical Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with Force.com platform customization using Apex coding and out-of-the-box features.
- 4+ years of programming experience with Visualforce, LWC, Aura, Apex, HTML5, and JavaScript on Salesforce.
- 5+ years of experience with Service Cloud or Gov Cloud.
- 3+ years of Apex API Integration experience.
- Proficient with Azure DevOps or other DevOps tools for CI/CD processes.
- Experience in Salesforce administration activities (SOQL, SOSL, Data Loader, DML operations).
- Knowledge of CRM workflows, Batch Apex, and Schedule Apex development.
- Strong experience with OAuth authentication and Salesforce integration with 3rd-party applications.
- Familiarity with core web technologies like HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and RESTful APIs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Certified Platform Developer Certification (preferred).
- Experience with SFDX development, branch management, and code deployment.
- Exposure to data migration and Salesforce integration with upstream/downstream applications.
- Familiarity with governmental processes and compliance standards is a plus.
Required Certifications:
- Salesforce certifications, such as Salesforce Admin or Salesforce Platform Developer, are a plus but not mandatory.
Soft Skills:
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven ability to deliver business value using technology.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects within deadlines.
