About the Role:
We are seeking a Project Manager (PM) and a Senior Project Manager (SPM) to oversee large-scale ground-up commercial construction projects (MOSTLY SCHOOLS) in North Austin. This role involves managing projects ranging from $40M-$200M, with some reaching up to $420M. The PM will typically handle one major project or two smaller projects, while SPMs oversee 2-3 projects and support across various field locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Drive projects from start to finish, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
- Client Relations: Regularly meet with clients, engage in business development discussions, and represent the company in new business opportunities.
- Project Controls: Manage change orders, RFI’s, submittals, cost forecasting, and budgeting.
- Team Coordination: Collaborate closely with Superintendents; PMs and Supers work as partners to achieve project success.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications:
- Experience:
- PM: 10+ years in commercial construction, including at least 3 years as a Project Manager.
- SPM: 15+ years of industry experience with at least 2 years as a Senior Project Manager.
- Tenure at Previous Companies is essential, reflecting experience managing full project scopes.
- Project Types: Ground-up commercial projects only.
- Technical Competence: Proficiency in construction software; experience with tools like Primavera P6 is advantageous.
- Education: A degree is preferred, but extensive relevant experience may substitute.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, take accountability, and drive projects to completion.
