Our client, a leader in the integration of complex software with advanced mechanical systems, is seeking a Spacecraft Electrical Power Systems Specialist to manage the health and safety of the electrical power subsystem for a constellation of satellites with multiple generational designs. This role is pivotal in ensuring the performance and reliability of satellite systems, adapting to evolving business goals and objectives.

Focus:
- Oversee and ensure the integrity and safety of the on-orbit Electrical Power Subsystem (EPS).
- Conduct both short-term and long-term data analysis and trend evaluations to guide strategic operational decisions.
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration and optimum performance of EPS within the satellite infrastructure.
- Develop and refine protocols and procedures to enhance the performance and safety of EPS.
- Provide technical support and lead problem-solving efforts for EPS-related challenges.
Skill Set:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in Electrical Power Systems for spacecraft or an equivalent role.
- In-depth knowledge of lithium-ion batteries and a thorough understanding of solar arrays, power conditioning and distribution, and associated components.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, and SQL, with the ability to analyze data and create reports.
- Familiarity with thermal subsystems, STK, and orbital dynamics is advantageous.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of management and departments.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
