Job Title: Senior Estimator

They are a well-established Commercial General Contractor based in Duluth, GA, serving the greater Atlanta metro area with over 60 employees. Their company has a strong presence across multiple sectors, including Commercial, Retail, Industrial, Medical, and Office construction. With a reputation for delivering quality projects and fostering a collaborative work environment, they are seeking a Senior Estimator to join their growing team.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Estimator, you will play a critical role in pre-construction and estimating activities, working closely with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure accurate cost assessments and successful project delivery. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with proven experience in Retail and Medical ground-up construction projects. Familiarity with Procore software is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and bid packages for various project types, focusing on Retail and Medical ground-up builds.
- Analyze drawings, specifications, and other project documents to identify project requirements.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including project managers and site superintendents, to ensure alignment and accuracy of project scope and costs.
- Participate in project kickoff meetings and contribute to strategy discussions for competitive bidding.
- Review project budgets and schedules for feasibility and risk assessment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of estimating experience in Commercial, Retail, or Medical construction.
- Proven track record of estimating ground-up projects for clients such as Sprouts, Home Depot, or similar retail chains.
- Proficiency in Procore or other construction management software.
- Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
