RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Advise and represent clients on compliance with local, state, and federal environmental regulations, including air, water, and waste permits.
- Handle litigation involving environmental disputes, including toxic torts, property contamination, and regulatory violations.
- Defend clients against environmental violations, fines, and penalties imposed by governmental authorities.
- Counsel clients on environmental matters related to transactions, including the purchase, sale, and development of real estate and contaminated properties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A minimum of 3 years of experience practicing environmental law, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, permitting, and litigation.
- Active license to practice law in North Carolina (or ability to become licensed in North Carolina).
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
