Position Purpose & Focus
The Property & Casualty Account Manager holds primary responsibility for managing an established book of local and national accounts. Servicing existing clients and fostering new business relationships. The Account Manager will oversee daily operations, nurture client connections, and play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional service, thereby fortifying ongoing and enduring client partnerships.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Stay informed in insurance technical knowledge, market trends, agency automation, company information, and other operating techniques
- Manage ongoing client service relationship with approximately 60 group accounts
- Maintain open and clear communication channels with clients, insurance carriers, and internal partners
- Foster carrier relationships through monthly and quarterly meetings
- Develop connections beyond the producer’s relationship with the key decision-makers in the book of business
- Identify problems, summarize, and develop strategic solutions
- Communicate due dates, timelines, and expectations to clients and partners
- Prepare ACORD Forms and specific marketing applications through communication with producer and prospect/client
- Collect loss history from carriers and prospect/client
- Submit ACORD Form data, specific marketing applications, and loss history information to insurance carriers and wholesalers via email or carrier website/portal
- Phone and email follow-up with prospects and clients to secure additional underwriting data or misc. info
- Phone and email follow-up with carriers and wholesalers to secure quotations and misc. data by set deadline
- Prepare proposals for new business and client renewals
- Review proposals with prospects and clients by phone or in-person based on client needs
- Monthly or quarterly phone and in-person communication with key referral contacts
- Make sure the client is aware of all resources Bryson offers

Qualifications:
- High level of technical insurance knowledge
- A California State Property & Casualty License
- Two years of insurance agency customer service experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferred
- Sound professional and personal judgment
- Strong business acumen
- Polished interpersonal skills
- Ability to work at a fast pace, handle changing priorities, and have the highest level of confidentiality and discretion
