2nd Shift HR Generalist
Summary of Position:
The Human Resources Generalist provides a wide range of human resources support and guidance; plays a key role in the success of the organization by offering guidance on recruitment, terminations, performance management, employee relations and human resources best practices while facilitating a positive relationship between employees and management.
Schedule: 2nd Shift Hours, 2pm-10pm (possible flexibility around start/end time)
Functions of Position:
- Serves as one of the main contacts for employees to discuss workplace concerns and answers questions. Suggests alternate course of action if appropriate and prepares necessary documentation of action (memorandum of record, reports, counseling or discipline).
- Conducts and documents investigations (telephonic or onsite) relating to workplace complaints with interviews of employees, managers, or third-party personnel. Analyzes notes to arrive at valid conclusions, recommendations, and plans of action. Prepares comprehensive reports and summaries of findings for management.
- Educates, assists and coaches employees and managers on all employee relations issues.
- Assists in the performance evaluation and performance improvement plans and provides recommendation for the performance program to the maximum.
- Recommends HR policies and procedures to maximize efficiency and compliance through day-to-day HR practice and observation. Ensures all company policies and procedures are up to date with current employment laws.
- Responsible for manufacturing, distributing and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.
- Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.
- Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.
- Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and information within assigned team and across functional areas.
- Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development
- Responsible for compliance with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety.
- Responsible for supporting safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards, and conducting safety observations as assigned.
Qualifications
-Education, Experience, and Knowledge:
- Minimum of three years human resources experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration/human resources or related field is preferred.
- At least one year experience in a position of responsibility and accountability for employee relations and/or labor relations.

- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner.
- Highly analytical thinker and problem solver, proven attention to detail, and extremely well organized.
- Acts with a sense of urgency, high quality judgement and sound decision making.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects to closure.
- Must be able to build credibility and be trusted resource to all.
- Bilingual; Spanish preferred, but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $68,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
