Senior Quality Manager, Plant-Level | up to $165K base salary | First Shift
Aegis Worldwide is currently partnered with a manufacturing company in the Elkhart, IN area that's hiring for a Senior Quality Manager. This individual will oversee the entire quality department for the plant, managing a team of 40 associates and focusing on investigations, compliance, and quality standards. DIRECT HIRE
LOCATION: Elkhart, IN -- Fully onsite position. Relocation assistance is available!
SHIFT/SCHEDULE: First shift, 7A-4P, Monday-Friday. Overtime as necessary.
SALARY: $140,000-$165,000 base salary + 10% annual bonus.
Responsibilities:
- Interact directly with and act as the point-of-contact for customers and suppliers (20 to 30 total), answering quality and production questions, monitoring quality issues, and leading investigations as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with FDA, HACCP, and ISO regulations.
- Oversee a team of 40+ direct reports, delegating responsibilities for the quality department and partnering with Quality Managers on compliance and investigation.
- Act as the point-of-contact for both internal & external audits (FDA, customer/supplier audits, etc.).
- Oversee and manage all plant quality operations, from production to product release to shipping.
- Work closely with plant and upper-level management on overall business strategy.
- Manage the quality department’s budget, ensuring that the budget allows for daily production outputs and projects.
- Complete root-cause analysis and investigation processes, utilizing the company’s developed investigation processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement projects for the facility, utilizing LEAN manufacturing & six sigma methodologies.
- Oversee training of quality & production associates, ensuring that training timelines are adhered to.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required – in science (chemistry, biology, etc.) or engineering.
- 10+ years of experience within a Quality Manager/Supervisor position.
- MUST HAVE experience within an FDA-regulated industry – cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food, etc.
- Experience within a contract manufacturing setting – somewhere with frequent product changeovers.
- Experience with QMS systems, SBC, and/or QT9.
- ASQ, Auditor, Lean Six Sigma, or engineering certifications preferred.
