This position is based in Plano, TX with a hybrid mix of some in-office time and some remote work.

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our team, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a robust and scalable developer platform that enables teams across TFS to deliver high-quality software efficiently. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll drive automation, enhance our cloud infrastructure, and collaborate across teams to ensure a smooth and secure development lifecycle.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Platform Development: Lead the design and implementation of scalable and automated cloud environments that support DevOps initiatives.
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use tools like Terraform and AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) to manage infrastructure, ensuring security and scalability.
- CI/CD Automation: Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless integration and deployment
- Monitoring & Security: Implement observability tools and ensure adherence to security policies, focusing on disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA).
- Technical Leadership: Mentor the cloud engineering team, establishing best practices and technical standards for development and operations.
- Cloud Management: Architect and optimize cloud environments (AWS, Azure) for performance and security.
What You Bring:
- Experience: 7+ years in platform engineering or DevOps, with 3+ years in a senior role.
- Cloud Expertise: Strong experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- IaC & CI/CD: Proficiency in IaC and building CI/CD pipelines.
- Programming Skills: Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python, Go, Bash, or similar for automating infrastructure tasks and tooling.
- Monitoring and Observability: Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Security Best Practices: Familiarity with cloud security best practices and frameworks
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Key Technologies:
- Terraform, AWS CDK
- AWS Services: EKS/ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, IAM
- Scripting: Python, Bash, Ansible, Helm
- Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog
