A well-known Commercial GC/CM based in Detroit is looking to add a Senior Estimator to their Preconstruction team. They're known for working on some of Detroit's most exciting construction work in the Commercial realm including within the Healthcare, Education, Light Industrial, and Multifamily spaces. They've seen record growth over the last 5 years and are looking for someone to continue that growth. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of Estimating experience with a successful track record bidding projects valued at $20M+.
Role & Responsibilities
- Examine and interpret drawings, specifications, proposals, and related documents to develop precise budget proposals
- Organize and manage bidding deadlines, ensuring all requirements are met within the specified timeframes.
- Generate, submit, and track pre-bid RFIs to clarify project details before finalizing estimates.
- Prepare bid forms to collect subcontractor proposals.
- Compare and evaluate subcontractor proposals to determine the most accurate budget projections.
- Work closely with Owners, Architects, and Project Management team
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or other related field
- 10+ years of Estimating experience at a Commercial General Contractor
- Must have a successful track record of bidding work valued at $20M+
- Proficient in utilizing Estimating Software
- Must be able to reliably commute to Metro Detroit

- Base Salary of $125-$150k, based on overall experience
