NDT Level III – Aerospace Manufacturing (Central Massachusetts)
Amotec is conducting a search for a NDT Level III (Ultrasonic - UT) on behalf of a division of a multi-billion dollar aerospace manufacturing company. This opportunity is located at a manufacturing plant in central Massachusetts. Relocation Assistance is offered for this role.
Position Overview:
The NDT Level III will ensure compliance with all internal and external non-destructive testing (NDT) requirements, focusing on Ultrasonic (UT) testing. You will oversee quality assurance in NDT processes to maintain product integrity and ensure adherence to both customer and government standards. This role will be responsible for audits, process improvements, and driving corrective actions related to NDT issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for customer and internal NDT audits.
- Ensure compliance with industry and internal specifications (NAS 410/ASNT).
- Lead quality investigations and root cause analyses for NDT-related issues.
- Maintain internal and customer requirements within the QMS system.
- Conduct internal/external audits and supplier assessments.
- Support process improvements and statistical evaluations (DOE, capability studies).
Required Skills & Experience:
- Certified in Ultrasonic Immersion methods (UT) with NAS 410/ASNT credentials.
- Strong background in compliance, audit management, and process control.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and provide clear resolutions.
- Proficiency in managing multiple projects and maintaining detail orientation.
Education & Qualifications:
- Relevant NDT certification and experience in Immersion Ultrasonic testing.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency is required due to government contracts.
