Job Description
Micas is looking for a top-tier senior network system testing engineer to join Micas networking lab center team. This position will be part of Micas support team. You will be participating in product
requirements and design reviews, developing test plans, test execution, and automated test development for the lab center large scale of networks. Micas systems using SONiC as the major NOS.
Responsibilities
- Functional / System Testing of various Layer2 and Layer3 features of SONiC for Micas white-box products
- All cable and optics functional tests and verification
- Writing detailed feature and system test plans, defining and designing test beds and topologies
- Identifying and reporting issues found during testing into the defect tracking system and validating the fixes and workarounds
- Will help customers to configure their network systems using Micas whitebox running with SONiC or Micas NOS
- Building and maintaining automation required to ensure quality via continuous functional regression
- Collaborating with design, test and other internal engineering groups to identify, report and resolve
Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Engineering/Computer Science/related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of demonstrable experience in Software Quality Engineering
- Strong skills in Python or other scripting languages is a must
- Strong technical abilities, problem solving, designing, coding and debugging skills
- Hands on experience on any L2 and L3 protocols like MLAG, VLAN, STP, OSPF, BGP, EVPN etc
- Experience with using test tools from Ixia or Spirent and working experience in test management
- Good experience working on Unix or Linux based OS
- Great teammate with multi-tasking ability and good interpersonal skills
- Solid foundation in and understanding of software engineering practices
