This Financial Systems Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing financial systems This role requires a strong understanding of financial and accounting, as well as the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to identify and document business requirements for financial systems.
- System Analysis: Analyze current financial systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
- Testing and Validation: Participate in system testing, ensuring that solutions meet functional requirements and user expectations.
- User Training: Conduct training sessions for end-users on new systems and processes.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of business processes, system configurations, and user guides.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between finance, IT, and other stakeholders, facilitating clear communication and collaboration.
- Project Management: Assist in project planning and management activities, ensuring timely delivery of financial systems projects.
- Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure that all financial systems comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in financial systems analysis or business analysis within a finance context.
- Strong understanding of financial processes, accounting principles, and reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in financial software systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of interacting with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP) or Financial Management (e.g., CFA, CPA) is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of Agile project management methodologies.
