Operations Supervisor
This position is responsible for the supervision of the print and mail function, material management and is responsible for the two departments consisting of five leads with teams of 30 FTE and a flexible temporary staff. This position is onsite in Beaverton, OR.
Along with administrative tasks related to a supervisory position, this role will also work with management to set production priorities; workforce and resource management, perform scheduling functions; process improvement and documentation; internal and external audits; quality control; inventory management; coordination with internal management, and developing a strong working relationship with the USPS and overnight deliveries.
Operations Supervisor Responsibilities
Oversee a team responsible for shift workflow with the Print and Mail Operations, to included: printing of documents, handwork, machine inserting, sorting, and other print production work to consistently meet client deliverables and organizational targets.
Provide regular situational reporting to Print and Mail management on statuses of equipment, throughput and department productivity.
Work with Lead Workers and Associates to continuously review and update department operating procedures to maximize efficiency and ensure ongoing improvement.
Staff supervision of the two work sections, and of the FTE and temporary contingent workforce, including strong management of overtime.
Performance management of the workforce that includes coaching, feedback, disciplinary actions, goal setting, annual reviews, individual development plans and training.
Maintain standards within the workforce, ensuring employees conduct aligns with company value. Always ensuring the company upholds and maintains safe and adequate work environment.
Apply knowledge of USPS rules and regulations for mailing.
Print and Mail Operations Supervisor Qualifications
Associates degree preferred or equivalent experience.
3-5 years’ experience in supervision of a production team with proven results and ability to meet the expectations of this position.
Strong oral and written communication skills with experience in presenting to senior management.
Payroll and time tracking experience.
Experience collaborating with various teams.
Comfortable taking the initiative to improve processes and culture.
Knowledge of USPS rules and regulations is preferred.
Strong Computer skills- Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite.
Compensation: $25/hr. (DOE)
Day Shift: 8am to 430pm
Swing Shift: 430pm to 1am
