Job Description: ERP Specialist / Program Systems Administrator
Location: Bedford Park, IL (Onsite Daily)
Position Overview:
The ERP Specialist / Program Systems Administrator is a hands-on role responsible for supporting IT operations on the plant floor. The individual will spend 65-75% of their time managing and maintaining the FeneVision ERP system, including scripting, Bill of Materials (BOM) management, and general IT support. This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of IT systems within the manufacturing environment and will involve troubleshooting hardware connections, configuring devices, and managing network setups.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage and support the FeneVision ERP system, focusing on scripting and BOM management.
- Provide hands-on IT support on the plant floor, addressing hardware and connectivity issues.
- Set up and maintain PCs, laptops, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot network connections and technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure effective communication and support for plant operations.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of IT experience in a manufacturing environment, including plant floor support.
- Hands-on experience with IT infrastructure (PCs, printers, networks, hardware).
- Experience managing an ERP system (FeneVision preferred).
- Knowledge of SQL Server with basic script editing and BOM management.
- Proficiency with Excel VBA for script editing and task automation.
- Familiarity with Windows environments and basic network troubleshooting.
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience with ERP data management or system integration projects.
- Familiarity with VB Studio, VB scripting, and Microsoft RDL report writing.
- Understanding of machine interfaces and UX design for web platforms.
- Office 365 administration and cloud platform management experience.
- Experience with networking concepts and peripheral device setup.
- Knowledge of telephony and A/V system management.
