Job Description
This position serves on a team of PeopleSoft subject matter experts working on the Absence Management module. This person will work closely with within EITS, Human Resources and Payroll. The role is to assist in guiding the end-users from the design phase through the configuration and testing of the any new functionality that is implemented. Post go-live this position will provide post production support, assist with knowledge transfer activities and help ensure an overall smooth transition process to the new functionality. This role will also provide internal customers with the best possible solutions to implement new functionality, identify potential process improvements, troubleshoot problems and provide user support. Perform other duties as assigned.
Duties & Responsibilities
- This analyst must have high level understanding of HR information systems, tools, and technologies. The analyst should have functional experience and understanding of standard and specialized HR business events. Ideal candidate will be 80% Functional/20% Technical.
- 7+ years PeopleSoft experience with functional design and configuration of HCM solutions. An emphasis in HCM, including Absence Management, Benefits and MSS/ESS.
- 5+ years and/or 2+ full life cycle implementations at a Higher Education/Public Sector/Healthcare client.
- Successfully completed at least (3) PeopleSoft implementations. Recent Oracle PeopleSoft HRMS, v9.2 Image 46 experience required.
- Experience with a systems development lifecycle methodology
- Proficiency with Application Designer, system integration and data migration tools. Experience with PHIRE required.
- Determination of business requirements, business process design and application design and configuration.
- Ability to understand basic PeopleSoft security; roles and permissions.
- Needs Assessments, Requirements gathering and development of model office configuration (prototype/CRP).
- Proficiency with system test planning and execution.
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
- Ability to apply creative and analytical thinking skills to resolving problems and set a vision.
- Ability to explore alternative methods to resolve issues and improve processes.
- Demonstrated experience with Human Resources information management systems and tools, e.g. PeopleSoft Query & reporting tools.
- Requires a BA/BS degree in human resources information systems, computer science, MIS/BCIS, and/or 8-10 years professional experience in HRIS, solution design and program delivery of enterprise HCM solutions.
- Enhanced Absence Management implementation and production support experience

Minimum Qualifications
1. A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Telecommunications, Data Communications, or a related field of study; and
2. Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications. Operations Specialty requires supervisory experience (5 years). Network Services requires a telecommunications background and experience.
3. Broad knowledge and expertise in the characteristics of computers, peripheral devices, communications systems and hardware capabilities, programming languages, E.D.P. applications, systems analysis methodology, data management and retrieval techniques; or
4. A satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
