Job Summary
The Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the aerospace division. This role ensures that all supply chain, repair management, and distribution activities are efficiently coordinated, customer requirements are met, and compliance with regulatory and internal standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor day-to-day operations, report on daily performance, and assist where necessary.
- Serve as the escalation point for resolving issues related to outbound or inbound processing, ensuring turnaround time objectives are met.
- Identify areas for improvement in processes and systems development, proposing and implementing efficiency-enhancing initiatives.
- Develop and maintain a strong relationship with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teammates and external partners on key deliverables to mitigate risk and meet business goals.
- Support the operations team in developing and/or managing operational metrics and measurements to ensure operations and costs are managed to and achieving targeted metrics and goals.
- Maintain up to date operational procedure and work instruction documentation.
- Develop, plan and perform scheduled internal audits to test compliance with internal policies as per Export Management & Compliance Program policy and all applicable laws, regulations, and rules.
- Monitor carrier logistics and acting as divisional contact for transit requests, load scheduling, and lost shipment disposition.
- Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement to management based on statistical analysis to help advocate and drive continuous improvement.
- Provide support as needed for AOG calls 24/7/365.
- Other responsibilities as assigned by manager.
Essential Competencies

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of working within the aviation industry.
- Have a working knowledge of asset/inventory management.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining priorities and meeting deadlines as set by management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
- Working knowledge of export regulatory requirements and practical application to operational problems and situations.
