Required Skills & Experience
- This position will maintain and repair all commercial laundry related Mechanical and Electrical equipment. Ironer, washer Dry-cleaning machine steam press, steam Tunnel and Dryer machine
- Three years of experience in laundry equipment repair and maintenance experience
- Experience with Steam
- Must be able to read Engineering drawings and technical literature
- Minimum of two years’ experience in electrical, plumbing, gas, mechanical systems or controls required.
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Experience in a service environment (Hotel, Resort or Restaurant)
- Military service experience
Job Description
An employer in the San Diego area is looking for a Laundry Engineer. Perform routine general maintenance and repair functions within approved guidelines and as directed. Conduct regular inspections of laundry equipment to identify potential malfunctions or areas in need of repair. Perform routine maintenance on laundry equipment, such as lubrication, cleaning, and adjustment of parts. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with laundry equipment, including washers, dryers, folders. Install new laundry equipment as needed. Dispose of materials according to regulations. Ensure adherence to all regulations and internal safety policies and procedures Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record. Maintain an adequate stock of parts and ensure cleanliness in assigned spaces. Adherence to Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and safety precautions.
