Healthcare Transactional Attorney
Top NJ based law firm is seeking a Healthcare Regulatory Transactional Attorney for its Roseland, NJ office. In this role you will assist in structuring deals by analyzing applicable federal and state regulatory schemes. The ideal candidate will create business models that comply with these regulations while achieving the client’s business and financial goals. Additionally, you will draft documents tailored to ensure compliance and facilitate the attainment of objectives. This is a unique role in that you will represent clients in Medicare and other insurance carrier audits as well as assisting litigation attorneys with healthcare related litigation. Ideal candidate will think “outside of the box” and offer creative solutions. In this role, you will represent clients in audits by Medicare and other insurance carriers and assist litigation attorneys with the regulatory components of both civil and criminal healthcare-related litigation. Responsibilities:
- Identify and analyze federal and state regulatory schemes and spot issues related to proposed business models presented by clients.
- Structure deals that meet client objectives while ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory schemes.
- Provide business insights on healthcare industry practices, including the feasibility of proposed arrangements from a business, financial and regulatory perspective.
- Represent clients in audits and inquiries from Medicare and insurance carriers.
- Collaborate closely with the firm’s CEO and Corporate Department Chairs to enhance support for corporate/business lawyers on healthcare-related transactions.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience as an attorney, with a focus on healthcare regulatory transactions.
- Must be admitted to the NJ Bar; NY Bar admission is a plus.
- Strong familiarity with healthcare laws and regulations, particularly related to the Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, Medicare policy, and corporate practice doctrines.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.
- Demonstrated commercial and business acumen with a track record of delivering creative and pragmatic solutions and advice.
