IT Systems Administrator (Networking & Infrastructure)
Job Overview: We are looking for a talented IT Systems Administrator to manage and optimize our client's networking and infrastructure across numerous locations in the Southeast region as well as the Data Center. This role focuses on maintaining robust and secure Server and network infrastructure, managing firewalls, and ensuring seamless data center operations. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in network management, load balancing, and automation, with a strong understanding of virtualization and Linux as a bonus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Management: Configure, maintain, and secure network infrastructure, including firewalls (Meraki) and load balancing solutions, ensuring reliable connectivity across multiple sites.
- Server & Virtualization: Create, configure, and maintain virtual machines within Nutanix clusters and VxRail environments, supporting diverse workloads across 260 Wintel and Unix servers.
- Cloud & Identity Services: Administer Office 365, Active Directory, ADFS, and Azure (Entra ID) for over 800 employees, ensuring seamless access and identity management.
- System Monitoring & Backup: Implement and manage monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix) to track performance and resolve issues proactively. Oversee backup solutions using Cohesity for data protection and disaster recovery.
- Automation & Scripting: Develop PowerShell scripts to automate routine tasks, streamline network operations, and enhance overall system efficiency.
- Incident & Change Management: Handle escalated support tickets and manage high-priority incidents, ensuring prompt and effective resolution. Participate in change management processes for infrastructure updates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other teams to support ongoing projects and system improvements, ensuring consistent, high-quality IT services.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in network management, including configuring and maintaining firewalls (e.g., Meraki) and load balancing solutions.
- Proven skills in designing and managing secure, scalable network infrastructures across multiple locations.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and practices to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms (Nutanix, VxRail) is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Linux systems administration is beneficial.
- Proficient in scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for automating tasks and improving network operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and resolve high-priority incidents.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
