DIRECT HIRE
PAY: $33.57/hour + NUCOR PRODUCTION BONUS (most will make over $100K due to this production bonus)
SHIFT: 2nd (3P-11P) and 3rd (11P-7A), Monday-Friday.
OVERTIME: there is OT available on Saturdays, this changes weekly. It's not mandatory, but most teammates take advantage.
LOCATION: West Hazleton, PA
BENEFITS: Profit sharing -- $0.10 of every dollar, before taxes. 401K program, Tuition reimbursement – for employees, they’ll reimburse $4K per year. For spouses of employees, $2K per year. PTO – 120 hours (3 weeks, after 6 months of employment). Doesn’t increase until year 10. They get 1 personal day after 90 days of employment.
- READ ME! – PRODUCTION BONUS INFO. This person will be paid Nucor’s production bonus. Every week - there's a production bonus percentage, based on how efficient & successful Nucor’s production was. The percentage fluctuates but is never under 110% (last week – it was at 116%). Typically, it is around 110-150%.
- What this bonus means – this person will be paid hourly. For every hour they work that week, they’ll make 110% of their hourly rate, in addition to their base hourly rate. At a production bonus of 110%, this person will make $33.57/hour.
- Most workers in this position will make over $100K due to this production bonus.
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fitter/Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a focus on quality and safety. This role involves working with various materials and equipment to construct and repair metal structures and components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform welding and fitting tasks using MIG flux core welding techniques.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools.
- Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on time.
- Utilize forklifts and overhead cranes to move materials and equipment as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manufacturing, forklift operation, or overhead crane operation.
- Proficiency in MIG flux core welding.
Skills and Abilities:
- Strong attention to detail and precision in welding and fitting tasks.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
