Responsibilities:
- Design work for stormwater management, BMPs, open channels, culverts, erosion and sediment control, and low impact development.
- Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality analysis and modeling using a variety of software.
- Perform technical calculations and make recommendations on erosion, drainage, flooding, etc.
- Conduct watershed and water quality assessments and other aspects of watershed planning.
- Prepare specifications and construction cost estimates in support of civil and stormwater projects or watershed studies, stormwater masterplans, flood studies, capital improvement projects, etc.
- Participate in field work, site visits, and data collection as needed.
- Prepare permit applications and obtain permit approvals from local and state agencies.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in civil engineering, preferably water resources engineering.
- EIT highly preferred, PE license a plus. Non-licensed candidates will be considered for other roles.
- Experience using hydraulic and hydrologic modeling software including HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, etc.
- Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microstation, OpenRoads, and/or ArcGIS preferred.
