The position supervises the daily activities of the warehouse team during a given shift. Must be able to influence the team to provide world class customer service in a fast-paced environment while not compromising safety. The supervisor provides leadership, motivation, training, and development to the team while driving continuous improvement, safety adherence and optimization of operations efficiently through data. Specific responsibilities include:
- Supervises warehouse team members and daily activities
- Fosters a best place to work culture through employment engagement
- Manages, evaluates and reports on warehouse productivity
- Tracks and coordinates the receipt, storage, and timely delivery of goods and materials
- Drives Safety culture through facilitating safety meetings and assuring the maintenance of a safe work environment
- Orders supplies and maintains suitable inventory levels
- Communicates and coordinates with both internal and external customers
- Hires, trains and monitors employee performance against company KPIs
- Prepares and reconciles required production and inventory reports
- Cross-trains employees in all warehouse operations
- Provides project assistance to Operations Manager or Director as required
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local employment laws, as well as occupational health and safety regulations
