LaSalle Network is hiring on behalf of a leading packaging company with over 70 years of industry experience. They are seeking a Senior HR Manager to spearhead HR initiatives for their York, PA facility. This company is expanding internationally and has been recognized for their innovative and eco-friendly products.
The Senior HR Manager will oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes within our client's manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for developing and managing staff development, employee relations and HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR management, with experience in manufacturing environments and the ability to foster a positive work culture.
Senior HR Manager Responsibilities:
- Serve as a business partner to the plant leadership team leading and directing recruitment, employee engagement, performance management, employee relations, HR programs, policy interpretation and legal compliance
- Provide support and guidance to leadership team and advise on organizational policy matters and recommend needed changes
- Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the plant's human resource and talent strategy
- Manage succession planning, organizational structure, workforce planning and change management to strengthen overall organizational capability
- Ensure effective talent management including assessment, development and training of employees to ensure consistent and fair treatment
- Track and report HR metrics (e.g., recruiting, demographics, turnover, headcount, absenteeism etc.) and prepare various reports for the HR and leadership team
- Create learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees
- Oversee employee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations
Senior HR Manager Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required
- HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus
- 5+ years of HR Manager or similar role in a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations and best practices in HR management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion
- Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite
